I thought we’d kick off our journey together with a bit of a challenge. My Sister contacted me a few weeks ago and challenged me to join in with a 30 day plank challenge for October which got me thinking.
I never used to think of myself as being competitive but if I’m honest, I really can be. Not when it comes to beating others or winning at something. I’m not doing this to beat my Sister nor she to be better than me (well, I don’t think she is) but I do like a challenge when it comes to myself – Can I do it? Can I be better than I was before? Could I really excel at …?
So here it is, my version of a month long plank challenge. I believe something like this has a lot more value and meaning for your life if you can learn from it as well as reap the benefits of holding a plank. Holding plank for 4 or 5 minutes is a bit boring so I propose we build strength with our plank holds but to also include other variations and exercises all to help us in our own practice.
SO for this challenge I have put together a calendar for you to download, over the month I’ll share weekly instruction videos with tips to improve your plank and new variations for you to try. We will also have a weekly live yoga session, tying together everything we’ve been working on in one flowing practice.
